If I have learned one thing since I started editing films and videos, it's that knowing the right buttons to push on my computer to assemble footage into something that passes for a story is maybe 10% of the job. The other 90% is using all that button pushing to tell an engaging story, whether that's 15 seconds for a social media ad or 90 minutes for a feature film, and evoke the emotions that allow the viewer to experience that story the way its creative team intended.
